Sub-cent fees and roughly one-second finality — built for high-frequency betting.

Solana's entire design pitch — thousands of transactions per second, sub-cent fees, roughly one-second block finality — maps unusually well onto crash games, where a single session can involve dozens of rapid, small-value rounds.

Where Ethereum's gas fee can exceed the payout on a small win, a Solana transaction typically costs a fraction of a cent, so the fee-eats-the-win problem that affects Ethereum-based small bets largely doesn't apply. This has made Solana increasingly common among casinos building genuinely on-chain crash contracts rather than only using it as a fast deposit/withdrawal rail.

The tradeoff is a track record of occasional network-wide outages in Solana's history, and a smaller pool of casinos and games supporting it compared to the BTC/ETH/USDT trio. Wallets like Phantom and Solflare are the standard way to hold and send SOL, and neither is as universally recognized as MetaMask.
